Project Description

Museo Quest is a mobile app designed for an enhanced museum visit experience using Augmented Reality (AR). This project was entirely prototyped in Figma.

Context

For the Mobile Application Development course exam, we had to design a museum visit application whose main feature is Augmented Reality.

Constraints

We had a detailed specifications document with minimal pages and features to include, and of course, the basic AR functionality was essential.
Specifications :

  • Language and exhibition selection.

  • Creation of visit routes (predefined or customized).

  • Navigation via interactive map and/or Augmented Reality mode.

  • Artwork search by name, number, or QR code.

  • Detailed sheets for each artwork (description, audio, navigation).

  • Visit history and features for logged-in users (favorites, notes).

  • Accessibility options (contrast, text size).

  • Bonus: Gamification (quizzes, rewards), ticket purchase, event calendar.

My Process

As with Noodly, I began with inspiration research and competitive analysis. After studying best practices and standards, I created a “priority guide“. I then designed wireframes and the final design in Figma using components and variables for colors and fonts, ensuring strong visual consistency. I completed the project with a comprehensive prototype simulating app navigation.
